DDDerby DDDays

Last week, our chapter participated in a philanthropy event hosted by Sigma Chi, a fraternity on campus, called Derby Days. Derby Days is a three-day event raising money for the Huntsman Cancer Institute. This dance competition is historically one of the highlights of the semester and is always a crowd favorite. Each sorority choreographs an eight-minute dance to compete for the title of Derby Days Champion.

Our performance chairs, Belle Irby and Addie Eckelkamp, did a fantastic job leading these women through this performance! After 86 hours of practice and countless hours of coordinating the dance, we could not be more proud of their hard work.

Belle says, "It has been such an honor to lead these amazing girls and create such an exciting dance with my co-chair, Addie. I have seen how hard these girls have worked for six months, and it was such a joy to see this dance performed on the mat just as we envisioned it in our heads. This has been one of my favorite ways to give back to Tri Delta. I truly could have never done it without the seniors who motivated us the whole time."
