Last week, our chapter participated in a philanthropy event hosted by Sigma Chi, a fraternity on campus, called Derby Days. Derby Days is a three-day event raising money for the Huntsman Cancer Institute. This dance competition is historically one of the highlights of the semester and is always a crowd favorite. This past Wednesday, we hosted another one of our annual philanthropy events, DHOP, or Delta House of Pancakes. We always enjoy getting to host such a meaningful event. This year, we had many different activities set up to encourage people to donate more money to St. Jude. Louise McPhetridge Thaden was born in Bentonville, Arkansas in November of 1905. She studied at the University of Arkansas from 1921-1925, where she pledged the Delta Iota chapter of Delta Delta Delta. Growing up, Thaden always had a passion for aviation and traveling. For the fall 2025 semester, the Delta Iota chapter achieved a 3.660 GPA, which is higher than the Overall Greek Woman GPA of 3.50, and a .03 increase from last semester's GPA.
